- Barbara Binder, ACI, CTT+ Rocky Mountain Training
is the Principal of Rocky Mountain Training. She started in the publishing field in 1986 with Pagemaker’s first release for Windows. She has been delivering corporate training as a free-lance instructor since 1987, mostly in the Washington, D.C area. She has been an Adobe Certified Instructor on multiple programs since the inception of the program in 1997 and has been hired to teach “train the trainer” courses to help other instructors pass the rigorous Adobe Certified Expert exams and CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer exam. Adobe Systems recognized Barbara Binder of Rocky Mountain Training as one of the Top Five Most Highly‐Rated Adobe Certified Instructors, Worldwide. - Andrew Chemey, Adobe
has been involved in learning for ~15 years. He has been an independent consultant for content developers and LMS vendors; helping to build and integrate AICC and SCORM standards-compliant content and LMSs alike. Starting with Macromedia on the Authorware 3 development team he eventually moved to the Pathware/Learning Space development teams for Macromedia and Lotus. He is the developer of the LMS Knowledge Objects for Authorware. He has also helped build/test the Flash Learning Interaction templates and built the original LMS tracking mechanism for Captivate and Presenter (among other development projects)… - Adam Flater, RoundArch
is a Technical Architect and Evangelist at RoundArch. His career has been centered on building innovative graphical user interfaces and research of emerging technology. Adam has designed and implemented solutions using Microsoft, Java and Adobe technologies. Since the beta release of Adobe’s Flex 2.0 platform in October of 2005, he has been an active member of the Flex community. Adam has been a featured speaker at several developers’ conferences including: The eBay Developer Conference, Fig Leaf’s Web Maniacs, 360 Flex, The Adobe OnAir Bus Tour, The Adobe MAX Conference, and several industry groups. He served as a Software Architect for Universal Mind and EffectiveUI where he was involved with projects like eBay Desktop and NASDAQ’s Market Replay (both Adobe MAX award winners). Adam is also the project founder and principle contributor to the Merapi Project, a bridge for Java and Flex. - David Hassoun, RealEyes Media
is the founder of RealEyes, a digital media firm focused on interactive motion media and advanced Flash/Flex platform applications. David has a passion for RIA, the power of video, and the challenges of usability and interactivity. David is an Adobe Certified Master Instructor, teaches advanced RIA classes at the University of Denver, serves as the Rocky Mountain Adobe User Group, and the Flash Media Server User Group Manager, and has developed advanced Flash/Flex application courses. As a consultant or while leading RealEyes he has worked for a wide range of companies such as American Express, Chase Manhattan, Qwest, Boeing, Macromedia, Adobe, US Air Force, Bechtel/Bettis, Beatport, and many more. David regularly performs advanced code and technical best practices reviews, and has provided directional advice for international industry leaders over the past years-including many technical, courseware, and application reviews as an industry expert - Jun Heider, RealEyes Media
is a Sr. Developer and Technical Trainer with RealEyes Media, an Adobe partner company based in Denver, Colorado with a focus in Rich Internet Applications. Jun graduated from Regis University with a BS in Computer Networking and has a number of technical certifications. Jun has worked with ColdFusion since 4.5, Flex since Flex 2 beta, and AIR since it was first available in pre-release. In addition, Jun loves to speak at conferences such as Adobe MAX, 360|Flex, and Flexmaniacs. Jun also loves to write; he is an active blogger on O’Reilly Inside RIA and has written articles for Fusion Authority and Flex Authority. Jun is also co-authoring the upcoming Professional Flex 3 by Wrox. In his free time, Jun loves to play music, his Xbox 360, snowboard, and hang out with his son Kobi, daughter Mia, and wife Michelle in Colorful Colorado. - Brian Holmes, RoundArch

is a Platform Evangelist with Adobe Systems, Inc. and I like lines. Specifically, I like moving them, breaking them, blurring them and jumping over them. If the lines form a box, that’s even better because then I get to think outside of them. Pushing the envelope of what technology can do, and how people perceive and interact with it, is the name of my game. I am a frequent traveler who enjoys meeting with developers, programmers, architects, managers and anybody else involved with technology. Most of the time you’ll find me somewhere in the United States speaking at conferences, user groups, or anywhere else they’ll give me time in front of an audience. is a Senior Consultant at Digital Primates IT Consulting Group. He has been developing Internet applications since 1995 and has been working with Flex since its 1.0 beta program. Michael is an Adobe Certified Instructor, Community Expert, and co-author of the both the Flex 2 & 3 Training from the Source books and Breaking out of the Browser with Adobe AIR. Michael is an international speaker on Flex and AIR topics who has consulted for three of the world’s ten most recognized brands. - RJ Owen, EffectiveUI
is a Senior Developer at EffectiveUI, where he’s worked since 2006. RJ was the lead developer on projects for Dow Jones, Random House and the Discovery Channel and contributed to ebay Desktop and the Adobe Video Workshop. In late 2007 RJ was featured on the Scoble show discussing RIA development and is passionate about the way that software affects and can improve people’s lives. He is certified as an Adobe Community expert in Flex and co-authored the O’Reilly shortcut “Flex 3 Early Evaluator.” RJ is a regularly featured blogger on O’Reilly’s InsideRIA.com and runs his own User Experience Development blog called at rjria.blogspot.com. RJ does well on standardized tests, calls blue his favorite color, and thinks Spiderman 3 is one of the worst movies ever filmed. - Juan Sanchez, EffectiveUI
is an Experience Architect for EffectiveUI, an award-winning provider of rich Internet applications and breakthrough interactive experiences. Juan manages ScaleNine.com, a website dedicated to compiling skins and themes for Adobe Flex. He is a regular speaker at user groups, corporate workshops, and conferences, including Adobe MAX, 360|Flex, and WebManiacs. He is also a founding member of Degrafa, a declarative graphics framework for Flex, and recently coauthored Creating Visual Experiences in Flex 3.0 (InformIT). is a web developer for RealEyes Media working with primarily with ActionScript through Flex and Flash to build rich Internet and desktop applications. He plays well with others and works with Flash Media Server, Connect, CSS, and a variety of other web technologies. He enjoys cooking, photography, and rides his bike to work because it’s cheap and he doesn’t have to deal with traffic. - Kevin Towes, Adobe
is product manager in the Dynamic Media Organization at Adobe Systems, responsible for defining, delivering, and supporting Adobe streaming video products. In his role, he manages Adobe Flash Media Interactive Server 3 and Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server 3, collaborating with the core product team, partners, professional services, business development and sales groups to define product releases and deliver solutions to the market through complete product development life cycles.Prior to Adobe, Towes spent 13 years working as a prime consultant enabling customers with Flash-based communication, collaboration, social media and video streaming solutions using Flash Media Server. Towes’ Flash Media Server Live Video work with Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) led to an Emmy nomination in 2004.
- Paul Trani, Starz
is a passionate 15 year veteran of the interactive design and development scene as well as a respected speaker nation-wide on all things Adobe. Paul has spent many years as an Adobe Certified Instructor, courseware developer, and Lynda.com trainer. He is also an Adobe Community Expert who contributes weekly through forums, blogs, and seminars, reaching thousands annually. Using his degree in Illustration, a background in Motion Graphics Design and knowledge of programming languages, Paul has created first-class projects for diverse clientele such as Bacardi, Neutrogena, Adobe, Best Buy, Hallmark Channel, Qwest, Western Union, Lucent Technologies, IBM, and Sprint. When Paul is not inspiring the community through online or live events, he can be found at Starz Entertainment where he is the Senior Interactive Designer leading a talented design department to create award-winning experiences online. - Vince Taisipic, Level 3
Vince is the Director of Product Management at Level 3 Communications where he oversees the strategic direction and going-concern for their CDN Streaming and Encoding services. Prior to Level 3, Mr. Taisipic was the Director of Product Management at Kontiki and VeriSign where he managed the P2P based content delivery solutions for those organizations for both the Consumer and Enterprise Markets. At VeriSign, he was involved in establishing their hybrid P2P + Streaming based CDN service and multi-screen technologies that involved content delivery to PC, Television, Mobile and other embedded platforms. - Steve Higgins, Level 3
Steve is Director of Network Engineering at Level 3 Communications where he is responsible for integration of specialized third party solutions into the mainstream streaming services offered by Level 3. Mr. Higgins manages all aspects of the software development process from the inception, design, development, integration, implementation and production support of new features and functionality into the Level 3’s CDN architecture. He has managed multiple development organizations during his eleven years at Level 3, including advanced Voice call processing applications, Vyvx reservation systems, Origin Storage and CDN streaming products. Prior to Level 3, Mr. Higgins was employed by MCI for more than seven years, where he built large scale switching systems for Virtual Private Networks, Calling Card and Mobile services in North America and Europe.
